Alexandra-Maria-Lara

Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is the Romanian actress and television presenter. Her most well-known work is the main character in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control as well as Rush. She was the sole daughter of Romanian acting star Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra entered the world of show business early, and ended up playing lead roles in different shows on television by the time she turned 16. Her performance as Adolf Hitler's Secretary Traudl Jue, in Downfall (an Oscar-nominated historic war film) was both critically and critically acclaimed commercially. Other Oscar nominated film starring the actress include The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex. Through the years, Alexandra has worked in several important international and national productions. These comprise British biographical films Control and The Dust of Time as along with the French historic miniseries Napoleon. Her other roles include being juror at each of The Transylvania International Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival.
