Matthew Matt James is a North Carolina native born on 5 December, 1991. Parents are Manny James as well as Patty James. The father of Manny James is Nigerian while his mother is caucasian American. He graduated in 2010 in Sanderson High School and furthered to Wake Forest University where he earned a bachelor's degree in Economics in 2015. James' fame kick-started as he made his television first appearance as a reality star for The Bachelorette. James was chosen in 2020 to play the role of the new bachelor on The Bachelor season 25, which was the first season to feature an African American male star. The series premiered later that year. James would be a perfect match for the job as is tall, beautiful and humorous. Rachael krkconnell was chosen as his partner for the entire season. He partnered with the famous dancer Arnold in 2021 to compete in season 30 of Dancing with the Stars. James and Arnold came in 12th place.
